Wild Iris Forest School is a nature-based early learning program nestled in the pine forests of Chattaroy, Washington, just north of Spokane.

For us, the forest is our classroom. We are a true forest school where children learn by getting their hands dirty, exploring freely, and growing together through every season—where real weather, changing seasons, and unstructured time do the teaching.

To support this open exploration, our program offers predictable daily rhythms, intentional rest, and compassionate guidance. Our educators act as mentors, attentively observing and celebrating the unique strengths of every child while cultivating self-awareness, gratitude, and a deep respect for one another and the world around us.
